Comments:
This contest started out as a disaster. The amplifier kept kicking
out and 1.5 hrs into the contest, my computer hung. When I rebooted,
the log was GONE! Grrr! My apologies to those I had to dupe as a result.
The amp kicking out turned out to be the fault of my IC-775DSP. Apparently,
this thing is putting out the infamous Icom spikes. I put my IC-736 standby
rig into service instead and it ran without this problem. The receiver is
inferior to the 775, but at least I could TRANSMIT!
Good news! I RAN on CW for the first time in a big contest. It was a
bit sloppy, but I did it! That's exciting to me!
