Powered by TR (whoops I owe Tree an update fee!)
Rig: Kenwood TS-870
Antennas:
160m: 80m inverted-vee with Rig antenna tuner AND MFJ tuner.
Only good for line of sight with k0rf and n2ic!
80m: inverted-vee
40m: see 80m (fed with 450 ohm twin lead)
20/15/10: Cushcraft D-3 rotatable dipole
I also discovered that when I put the jumper between the correct
terminals of the MFJ antenna tuner it works much better! Fortunately I
discovered this Friday night. However, this has been wrong for quite
awhile (uugh!).
Lowlights: Starting 1 1/2 hours late working on stupid antenna
experiment.
Needed those 10m mults.
Highlights were the runs on 15m and 80m. At the end I kept wanting to
do a sweep
of the band to pick up any "big guns" I had missed, but people kept
calling.
I also qsy'd to 10m for a number of people but was only successful
w/K5RC. With K0RF
doing multi-2 I was surprised at the number of requests. Obviously we
were both
"skipping" over alot of people.
Loads of fun, bring on phone. Just wish it was 2 weeks away, not one.
73's,
chris, n4vi
