44 Hours of Operation
I guess that this is as good as it gets. With the top of cycle 23
happening soon, this contest certainly lived up to everything it was
supposed to be.
Saturday had 10 hours with over 100 Q's with 2200 Q's at the half way
point, while Sunday had only 3 hours over 100, but both days were great
fun in their own way. Saturday night brought 2 hours of JA's and
other great mults on 10, but was soon outdone by 3 hours on 15 that
included (5) BY's, (4) BV's, (7) HL's, (4) DU's, and hundreds of JA's !
The QRN was horrible Saturday night on the low bands so I decided to sleep
for a couple hours, and get the ringing out of my ears. When I woke up I was
treated to a short JA run on 40 followed by a longer JA run on 20. Then it
was off to 15 meters by 1030Z. The contest ended up with a flurry on 40
that kept me wanting to go into overtime !!
Guess overtime has to wait until next season, hope to hear you all then.
