Comments:
Incredible S&P rates with only 5 W. Rate meter peaked at 140 on 20M,
111 on 15M, and 118 on 10M during first European openings. 40M was tough to
Europe but 8 JA's and UA0 were a nice surprise. Only 4 Europeans worked on
80M. Could not work anybody on 160M. 14 mults worked 5 bands, 15 more worked
on 4 bands.
Total QSO's tied with friend N4NO who also did only S&P but with 1KW, limited
to high bands. (N4KG High band Q's = 929 vs N4NO 1030). This suggests S&P
saturates close to 1000 Q's regardless of power when conditions are good. Note
that 5W is 23 dB below 1 KW.
First 24 hours (21 hrs ON time) resulted in 700 Q's and 240 mults. Second 24
hours was slow going looking for new stations and multipliers. I took a lot of
15 minute breaks to enjoy the sunshine Sunday afternoon! Several BIG pileups
(CT3, JW, 5H3) cracked with carefully timed short calls. Timing is EVERYTHING
! Zone 18 UA9/0 stations worked both morning and evening. First time since
1980's if memory serves me.
