Comments:

Equipment - TS850,TS930S, Home brew PA - 400 W (made by TA3D)

Antennas - 20,15,10m - A3S @ 8m above ground,
            40m - Dipole at 6 m above ground
80m - Single Element Delta Loop horisontal part
at 12m above ground and apex sloping to abt 3m
            above ground.
All antennas on a one side of a 1000m high peak
with a contest QTH widely open to Europe and USA.
(So, effective height of antennas was quite good).
We will make a web site with pictures as soon as
            possible.

It was our first Contest DX expedition. So, it was kind of
exploratory one. A better antenna on 40m was planned. We've
tried to errect a 160m loop which we intended to use on 40m,
too but this antenna appeared to perform very poorly on 40m
and we put just a Dipole few meters above the ground due to
lack of time for anything else. Unfortunately dipole failed
at the start of second night and we used 80m Delta Loop as
40m antenna via the tuner. Murphy has stayed with us all the
time, though. During second night amplifier tubes "went away"
and we worked M/S with 100 W for abt 4 hours. Then TA3D and
LZ2FV were able to repair the TA3J's PA and we were back again
in the game with abt 350 W output.
Overall conclusion - We did great in these circumstances !!!

We made a new GOOD friends in Turkey - wonderful family and
GREAT HOSTS : Nilay (TA3YJ) and Berkin(TA3J) Aydogmus and
Yasar(TA3D)( THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH FOR GREAT HOSPITALITY
to all three of them !!!).

WE LEARNED FROM EACH OTHER AND FORMED A BIG TEAM !

MOST IMPORTANT - WE WILL BE BACK!!! SO, BEWARE ALL ASIAN M/S(Hi).

Next time - with REAL PA and better antennas on 40m and 160m.

Sooo, look for YM3LZ in WAE SSB and CQ WW SSB 2000 !
