I was portable at 'the old meteorological station' at west Jan Mayen.

"I laughed when KH7R sent 'WOW!' when I called him during
the middle of my nightime. They were 599+20dB on 28MHz!
The portable operation at the west side of the island really payed off.
The last evening propagations died, due to a severe solar eruption.
Conditions was much better in the SSB part of the contest"
