Comments:
This was a shakedown for N7CQQ's 40 acre lowband setup near Seachlight Nevada.
Transmit antennas consisted of an inverted L (100 ft V. 288 H) and an inverted
V @ 100'.Recieved on 1000 ft plus beverages. Murphy came to visit and stayed
all weekend. Alpha 76a failed at 1200z Saturday, put a Titan 425 in line
and made about 12 Q's before it blew both line fuse as well as the 240v
breaker. Drove into Las Vegas (90 miles) Saturday morning for parts.
Repaired the Alpha as was back in business by the time the band opened
Saturday afternoon. This time the amp lasted 5 hours before all the smoke
came out. Called it a night then. Looking forward to next year, thanks to
