Greetings:
What a varied set of propagation conditions. Certainly a bit of everything
over the contest weekend. It was a campout at the club station for VE6EX over
the weekend to keep the doors open, and a welcome to all newcomers. Once again
it was a m/s entry with one set of antennas, and the usual software pains of
two stations over the whole weekend. A weekend of training of the band
mapping/and s/ping for dx. Good fun though; hot and cold running dx and a Henry
that started with a mighty flash/kaboom, but carried on with 'narry a wimper
after that. The run stn was: ft1000 Henry2k.
The mult stn was: ts940s al80a
Our alloy and iron: 100' L&R with the usual alloy top to bottom,
wires for the low bands, and of course the usual smattering of semi dead stuff
for the mult op. Funny how the amp does'nt mind a 5:1 antenna HI! To be handled
all in due course!! The software was NOT ***TRLOG***.
Cheers, Dan VE6EX..
