Comments:
This was the first contest I have done from a "BIG" station. I was lucky enough
to operate from my brothers station (KK9A) while he was in aruba (P40A). There
is a big difference going from a 3 element triband beam @ 40 feet high to a
stack of Monoband beams. I was hoping for better conditions but you get what is
given. It was very fun holding a spot on the band and having people call me
instead of having to constantly turn the dial because I keep getting bumped out
of my spot. I have realised another advantage of having good antennas. When the
idiots start sending code and carriers at you, you can still work people over
them. This was very pleasing to me. They eventually leave when they realize
that they are doing no good as to keeping you from contesting. I would like to
thank my brother again for letting me use his station, and I look forward to
contesting from my new location in South Carolina next year. Thanks also to all
the people that called me. It was fun.
