Comments:
I had a great time this weekend! I operated by myself from K7RI's, using my
own call sign. Boy, his antennas are excellent! Had a couple good EU runs
which lasted for a bit, but never did get any good JA stuff. 10 meters was
very poor up here. Almost all of my q's made on that band were a stuggle. I
kept checking that band every so often, waiting for an EU opening but it never
happened, although i did hear california stations working 'em. 15 meters was
by far the best band this whole weekend. The rig used was a FT-1000mp MK-V.
I am curious to see other Rookie entries. This will be my last year
entering this category. I think i'm now ready to take on the "big guys"!
