Comments:

A SWABbie entry (Single Wire All Bands).

Conditions were poor here for about the first half of the contest. Signals on
15m were weak and the usual morning opening to Eu never materialized. 10m was
dead throughout the contest except for a brief opening to W1 land. Took the
afternoon off, it seemed hopeless. Almost went hang gliding but the flying
conditions weren't looking that much better!

Second half of the contest was an improvement, with a typical 20m over-the-pole
opening in the evening and reasonable noise on the low bands. Even managed to
get a few watts out on 160m by running two antenna tuners in series, allowing
me to work W1AW/6 on both modes.

Station:
FT-1000D
Ancient TL-922 (used on SSB)
MFJ Antenna Tuner
135' Stealth Doublet up 25' (all bands)
