TVI what TVI ?
That could be a good summary of the situation during the weekend. I had to use
diplomacy with the neighborhood and scheduling "OFF TIME". One neighbor
couldn't use Internet via its land line, another had almost everything plugged
into AC mains "singing" with RF. One said VCR motors stopped spinning, PC power
supply burned, etc ...
At least, one neighbor notice nothing. I may use it as a template for the
others and BTW I ordered ARRL RFI book ;-)
During "ON TIME", I played S&P to find multipliers to avoid long run time. I
just run a few hours with good rates. Assisted wasn't great since I had no
DXCluster spots available for a half the weekend. However, own S&P paid since
most of spots were busted.
There were also the local farmer who ploughed the field where beverages usually
layed. I run the wires on the ground and bushes at the border of the field.
Beverages were Z shapped but it worked fine ;-)
It was a long time since I enter SOAB at home QTH (I was operating TM2Y M/S)
and DXing doesn't stress neighborhood like contesting! I have to fix it now ;-)
