Comments:
Mainly s&p effort between other single band effforts going on here. fairly
good conditions first evening, altho Europe was poor - heard DF0HQ and EA8AH
but could not work them. Only Eu worked was RU1A long path. Morning LP wasn't
great either - more heard than worked. A50A was good copy but just keep CQing
with very few callers from USA. Did hear him work VU2WAP tho. S&P on 80 was
pretty frustrating with all the US and Canadian signals working other US/VE
stations in the window - and not being able to hear much of the DX that was
calling them.
This was the first time I've had the 80m yagi rotatable during the entire
contest - a real pleasure now. It was the product of a major rework this
summer with 150' of 4.5" mast inside the tower to allow the rotor to be ground
mounted.
The second night was terrible at 53 deg north. Nothing attempted.
