Sunday afternoon was going pretty well. Not nearly as bad as the CW Sunday
doldrums. Then Mr. Murphy paid a visit in the form of a 2 hour power outage - a
first for my domestic contest career. Changed my offtime strategy to say the
least! It probably didn't greatly affect the score overall though. As in CW,
the contest is decided after the first 8 hours. The second 16 hours is an
exercise to ensure full employment among carpal tunnel syndrome specialists and
chiropractors...
I have no doubt that SMC won the club competition again. It was amazing to hear
the number of IL/IN/WIS stations coming out of the woodwork!
