It was a very first time to participate seriously in
AR10 from Northern Hemisphere. In contrast to the one from
the South, I trully realized that we don't have much daylight
here for this contest. I was able to run at least five hours
more when I operated ZS6Z last year.
AZ was the only state workable among W7s, as we had sunset
and band-closure before they start opening. CA was the
same (only 1 CA on CW, tnx W6EEN). Heard a lot of south-west
scatter signals from WA, OR, MT, ND but my efforts calling
them were not rewarded. One amazing opening was VX6JY. He
called me in the early morning on SSB through the North Pole,
and later he picked me up on CW in the late evening through
south-west scatter.
Although there are no "record" resources available for
this contest, it looks that I broke the old Asian record.
(I have to carefully check it again, though)
