I still need to work on strategy for this one, and not expect miracles on 10
and 15 meters from here. Only had one frequency fight. Tuning 40, I heard one
well known contester pass a mult to 80. As soon as he did this, I asked if the
frequency was in use, and got no reply, so I started CQing. As soon as I got
done with the first CQ, he was back CQing on the frequency. We exchanged words,
I said that he abandoned the frequency when he QSYed to 80, he said he never
left the frequency. (why didn't he reply when I asked if the frequency was in
use? Cuz he was working someone on 80!) Any thoughts on this? I notice in his
summary that he was SO2R. Was the frequency still his because he was still
listening there? How long can a SO2R be away from a frequency before someone
can take it? Anyway, lots of fun and congrats to all of the big scores. 73, Bob
