Comments:

Activity seemed low. Fewer than 300 QSOs the second night, so LOTS of tedious
unanswered CQs.

With regards to the proposed "30 out of 48" contest period, I'd rather see the
current period maintained. As a single op, I don't CQ thru the daylight hours,
so my operating time would be about the same either way. However, with the new
rules my 30 or so hours would have to be stretched over a longer period to be
competitive.

If the activity levels of this weekend are considered typical, then the contest
is already too long. My QSO best QSO during the second day was 41, but of the
nineteen hours I operated the second day thirteen were below 20/hr and the last
six hours of the contest were in the single digits. Perhaps this is simply the
result of the "160M during high sunspot doldrums", but spreading out the
activity by requiring that competitors spend 37% of the contest off the air
certainly will not help.
