Comments:
This was a multi-single, low power operation from the club station at the US
Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The amplifier there went belly-up the day
before the contest, so we worked with 100 watts. Given the proliferation of
KG4*** US calls in the past 2 years, there was some confusion about who we were
from both the DX and the US/VE sides. That, coupled with our low power status,
didn't help the score - we had difficulty holding a frequency, especially on
20, which was our least productive band. Good conditions made for a good
contest, however, and we hope to do it again next year.
