Comments:
THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY
GOOD:
1st four hours above 100 rate for 619 Q's with 100 watts and my trusty
delta loop at 60 ft in the palm trees.
BAD:
DSP filter and 2 small power transformers died plus constant problems
with DVK and multiple computer crashes the first day.
UGLY:
Trying to work arrl dx contest from central america during 11-19Z hrs
almost not worth the effort low pwr with wires. Everyone has their beam
directed at Europe.Maybe next year I'll worki 19z until sigs give up and
give up attempts to work during day when cycle is high!
Additional comments:
Love those 6 digit calls when operator can't or won't use phonetics. Always
makes operating interesting.
Run low power with wires and the whole world wants your frequency.
Operating contest with a TS-50 without filters is not my idea of fun!
Thanks everyone for the Q's!
73,
Ron
