I had read in CQ about this new contest but I decided to
take part only when I heard K1TTT calling CQ NEQP around
7040 kHz. Propagation was not very good and frequently
signals had a noticeable aurora effect (the path from SV
to W1 touches the aurroa borealis donut).
Missed a few good ones (like Dukes County, MA), when
the station calling CQ gave up just when his signal
became strong enough for a QSO!
Also a zero-points QSO with N6LL (Yuma, AZ) added a
a new State to my WAS total.
