It was 110F here on Saturday, with a nasty wildfire going strong 25 miles
upwind from Bend. No air conditioning. 97 in the shack. Turned off the amp to
make it cooler. Went through 8 litres of water without a pit stop. I ran outa
steam after 16 hours. W7GG up the road had to QRT and evacuate his QTH for the
fire. Hope his was not one of the 18 of 250 homes in the area that went up.
