Comments:
You know it's not going well when you're hoping everyone will move to 40m in a
domestic phone contest. I knew it was going to be a struggle on 20m with no 20m
antenna and low power, but 13 Qs in the first hour was disheartening. By the 2
hour mark, my voice was starting to go from attempting to make up for lack of
antenna with vocal power.
40m results were about what I expected, but when I moved to 80m in the last 30
minutes I found the locals CQing "in my face." Ahhh, nothing like Sprinting with
40m as your only effective band. Obviously, I need to make some antenna
decisions before the next Sprints.
