I was expecting the 10 meter contest to be much less exciting then last
year. Boy, was I wrong! Conditions were pretty good from the black hole.
I don't think the European opening was quite as good as last year but one
can't complain this late in the cycle. Was able to work phone stations while
running on CW, which is actually easier then CW on both rigs since the phone
Q goes so much quicker.
It's best now that there is a break in the contest calender. Five serious
contest weekends in the Fall means the patience of the family has grown
pretty thin by this weekend!
