Comments:
Lost the first 4 hours of the contest, with a broken pile of transverters. Ended
up driving an hour each way to borrow another 1296 unit (which worked FINE,
thanks Jeff!). With past years experience, it probably cost me 80K - which kinda
sucks.
Condx were crap. A few hours of joy on 6m, a couple cool QSOs (WA8RJF on
2304/3456, and WA2FGK random on 2304 to name a couple) and a bunch of bands from
rovers! This was a TON of fun, while I was on. Spent lots of offtime playing
with my young daughter, and generally not playing radio.
Hope by next year I can have the junk working BEFORE the contest starts! Thanks
for the QSOs!
