Comments:
Thanks for another great contest...only slow time was two hours before sunrise
on Sunday morning. Plenty of activity from both mobiles and fixed stations.
Worked K6L in Lake county at 2048z on Saturday for county #56...(4hrs 48mins
into contest)- thought "this is going to be my year for the first-to-sweep".
Then, didn't work #57 until 0350z on Sunday morning with ND6E in San Benito.
And, then the last one was Glenn with K6AQL/m at 0645z on Sunday...14hrs and
45mins for the sweep....
Did break the Georgia record which has been standing since 1988...
Will try for the Florida record at my home in Florida next year where I have
a bit better antennas and equipment...
This was my first ever serious attempt at SO2R....I am reminding myself today
that this is a "hobby" and I should do it for fun...re-evaluating SO2R...
might be getting to old for that biz....
Equipment here is: FT1000MP/IC-706..AL-8ll/AL-811H; TH-5 @ 65' and various
wires....
