Comments:
Operated from my sister's QTH in Edgefield County, SC. Combined family visit
with the SS. Will go over the Myrtle Beach for a few days before returning to
the home QTH in VA next week. Packed the FT-1000/Field and threw a few tools
and some wire in a box when the wife and I departed for SC last week. Threw up
an all-band Zepp antenna in the pine trees, and it performed very well. Happy
with this effort from a temporary location. Beat last year's score by a few
points. Missed VE2 and VY1. Hmmmm, wondering if I should schedule a visit with
my sister yearly during SS/CW weekend and give W4OC some competition....
