IC-765 to 1/4 wave sloper (ugh)
Knew I could only operate the first evening so didnt really spend much time
getting an antenna up. Simply extended one of my 80m 1/4 wave slopers. I have
the room for a "real antenna" on this band and I think its time. A 1/4 wave
sloper with apex at 66 ft just doesnt cut it. Next time....
Tnx to all who pulled my weak sig outta the mud. Special kudos go to 6K2AVL who
pulled me out on mysecond call before the entire west coast found him! ;-)
