IC-765 to 3 el SteppIR at 78ft
Eeks, a dyed in the wool CW opr and I end up with more q's on SSB than on CW. Am
sure I wont hear the last of that. ;-). With only one EU and TEN JA's one would
think this would not be thought of as successful, but nope. The different
propagation encountered (I had qso's backscatter, sidescatter, sporadic-E, maybe
other modes that I know little about as well) made this an extrememely
interesting weekend! Plus a very low receive noise level, a wonderful little
pattern switchable antenna and a seemingly endless supply of east coast USA
stations kept me smiling and provided the playground to help me improve my
skills. This was fun!
