Having sold my great location at 1200' in Union.CT I now rent just a few mailes
away. At this location I can place just 20' of tower with a 10' mast ! All
antennas are fed with 100' or less of LDF5-50 7/8" Heliax. Radios are: FT-847
as an IF for 222 & 903 bands.  The TS-2000X is used for 50, 144, 432 & 1296.
Output power is:
50=100w
144=100w
222=20w
432=50w
903=10w
1296=10w
The intent of operating such a low height station was to get all systems into
operation from the temporary rental site to allow continued work on the
station. The station location is near 1200' elevation just 1/2 mile south of
the CT/MA line in FN31WX. K1TR and one other station were worked on 1296 by
relecting the 10 watt signal off of a 1300 foot hill 90 degrees off of his
direct beam heading ! This is the same direction that I can hear the K1TR
beacon. I can not work K1TR direct as I plow ground in that direction ! Fun
was had and not a bad score for such a low antenna height. Most fun contact =
FN55 in central Maine.
