Comments:
Unlike the past few contest, there
was no local QRN on any of the bands.
What a difference!
Heard VE6 and RI, and tried all the usual
tricks to work them, but never made it.
Just one radio and two band changes. That's
about all I can handle in this contest.
See you in the RTTY NAQP on Feb 28. By the
way, you two-radio guys should consider
RTTY. SO2R has a huge advantage on RTTY, and
many of the RTTY guys are in denial, so your
scores will rise to the top. All it takes is
N1MM logger (free), or Writelog, a Windows
computer with sound card, MMTTY decoder program
(free), a few little interface cables, and four
serial ports. No terminal unit is required for a
state-of-the-art rtty station. It's fun to sit back,
drink a coke, click the mouse now and then, and watch
all that high-tech rtty machinery play.
Adios for now.
