After missing my favorite contest, the CW version of the Sprint,
I decided to get on for at least a few Q's for the SSB version.
The only problem was that a cold that I had been fighting finally
won, and I had a sore throat and a stuffed-up head - not the best
symptoms for a phone contest. I stuck it out for an hour or so
and enjoyed working a bunch of good ops, about half-and-half on
20 and 40. My voice pooped out on me before 80 got hot. One benefit
of having no voice was figuring out how to use the voice memories
on my new TenTec Orion; they work great!
