Gale winds took away an antenna during the night, so it was just a Saturday
effort. Started so-so, no pile ups untill 16 local time, then had two
consequitve hours with some kind of pile-up. Begining was marked by the EU big
gun's hammering all over the band, later it was US guys with heavy clicking (not
all of them, clearly).
Working USA is always a big thrill, they alway hear very well and are my pile-up
favourite, it is just that I missed the pile-ups.
I was sending 599kW, but, frankly, I never reached that power level. It was so
cold in the shack and I had to fire an electric heater that consumed some of my
predicted output.
Next year it is going to be e real power and real antenna for a change.
