Comments:
This would definitely have been the year to do 20-meter single band...hindsight
is a marvelous thing. Considering the low sunspots, I thought we had quite good
conditions. Sunday morning was particulary good to Europe. 160 didn't work out
very well, but I think that was local conditions here, since the band sounded
pretty busy. My one Q on Top Band completed a 6-bander with KH7X, so it went to
a good cause :-)
Having a SteppIR 3-element Yagi with the "instant reverse" and "bi-directional"
modes was VERY handy in the afternoon with both JA and Caribbean/SA bombing in.
Now if they could just get it to beam SIDEWAYS, I'd have it made.
Didn't have the "oomph" for a full-time effort this year, but I'm glad I got on
and gave it a whack.
73, Ward N0AX
