Comments:
Personal best for me in this contest. Easily beat my score from last year when
I ran assisted. I wasn't even tempted to run packet this year. It was a
pleasure to tune past several big pile-ups & see I had already worked the DX on
earlier band sweeps.
Almost entirely S & P; maybe 20 QSO's running. I tried for more. This must be
a whole different contest for you guys that get answers to your CQ's. Real
scavenger hunt for Q's after the first 500 or so.
For next year:
- I think I made a strategic error by not making the most of the 10M openings. I
divided my time between 10 & 15, and even took lunch breaks during the opening
both days. Next year, if there is a 10M opening, push hard.
- I have lots to learn about 160M! I didn't think any Europeans would be able
to hear me but was pleasantly surprised. Next year should be even better.
- 25 hours at the radio over the course of a weekend is about my limit. Don't
think I really want to keep my butt in the chair any longer than that.
GO go CCO!
