Comments:

Conditions pretty good: SFL and SSN down, but so were A and k. On 80 & 40,
sig.
levels high and QRN low: worked 4U1I, CN, EY, A4, TA and ZL only on 40, JY only

on 80, and C3 only on 40 and 80. On 20 thru 10, N. polar paths were often good.

I always want to beat my last years' score; not sure I could do it this year
with sunspots fewer and 10 m in decline, but I did: 8% more total QSOs and 6%
more total multipliers than in '03. Spent 33 vs 27 hours to do it, getting a
lot more QSOs on 20 m and 80 m and a few more on 15 m to make up for 110 fewer

QSOs on 10 m. Similarly, got 11 fewer mults on 10 m but 28 more on 80 thru 15
m.
Even so, 10 m is not quite dead yet: surprised to find HL and KH6 there (but no

JAs), and EU runs on 10 m were short (1-1.5 hrs.) but with decent rates. In
hindsight, I should maybe have spent a bit more time on 15 m instead of 20, but

that's a second-order tweak. I remain enough of a DXer to be thrilled when 8Q,

OX, OY, S9, TU, and UN answered my CQs: they didn't greatly boost my score, but

they sure helped me get through the long hours!
