Comments:
I recently added an inverted L in the SE corner of my property after
'disappointing' results from my full size Elevated GP. Then I discovered water
must have gotten into the CATV feedline to the GP so I replaced that and the GP
appears to be 'back'.
THEN I discovered a noticable pattern effect where the GP showed considerably
better signals to the North and West while the Inverted L showed better signals
to the East and South. The two antennas appear nearly equal to the NE.
Guess what? There is a 130 ft tower with 3L15 on top almost exactly half way
(0.3 WL on 160M) between the two vertically polarized antennas. I 'assume' it
is acting as a sub-optimum REFLECTOR to the other antennas. I'm considering
adding yet another Driven Element suspended from a 90 ft pine tree to the NE of
the 'Reflector'.
I don't know what to do about the 'Big Resistor in the Sky' that appears to
follow the EST / CST Time Zone Line. Trade Alabama's Tornadoes for NC's
Hurricanes? Hmmm...
