Comments:

Sorry, no story this time. Took too long to start writing it and the memories
have been washed away in the flood of other contests.

Well, I do remember one item because I wrote it down at the time.

At around 0300Z (7 pm local, Fri night) I'm working UA9, UA0, EX etc when I hear
a very faint signal calling me. Sounds like VU7. Well, I'm not going to let
this one get away. After a lot of time and effort we make the Q. It was a VE7.
 Sigh!

Oh, and another one. This was quite scary.

I happen to know a couple of guys who went south for the contest, KI7Y to TI5N
and N7OU to N7OU/HI9. On Saturday night I dreamt that I worked both TI5N and
N7OU/HI9 on 6 bands and the last Q in my log was N7OU/HI9.

What actually happened

TI5N - 5 bands
N7OU/HI9 - 4 bands

Last few Qs in the log

Some stats on how my performance has improved in the 4 years I've been doing
this stuff.

2001 - my first ARRL DX CW in something like 30 years - about 287k
points
2002 - skills and station are much improved - about 399k
points
2003 - more improvement in both - about 280k
points
2004 - not much change in the station but cw has really improved - about 251k
points
Maybe I should stop trying to "improve" things

Did work 89 countries, though, so not too shabby.

Thanks for the Qs everyone
