Comments:
Planned on going full time but a telephone call one half hour before the start
that my mom was in the hospital put an end to that. She was released and I got
on for the last 3-1/2 hours. Conditions on 80 and 40 were excellent but 20 was
non-existent. Good activity from mobiles. With 20 minutes to go in the contest I
started hearing a clicking noise on the bands. Sounded like the neighbor's
electric fence only with a random pattern. Then my wife called down saying
there's thunder and lightning approaching. Pulled everything as fast as I could
and that was the end of it.
