Comments:
Jumped in a few times as a busy Easter weekend allowed. Have a dipole up 60',
but it's running E-W, so GA is off the ends and signals were very weak.
On Sunday afternoon, I enlisted one of our Easter Sunday visitors (brother
visiting from Calgary) to help hoist a quickie 40-10m G5RV up about 40', running
roughly N-S and signals were much better. Alas I had just over an hour left in
the GAQP by the time all visitors had departed.
Added 14 of my 18 QSOs with the shorty G5RV. Score way down from last year. No
beam to play with. Yet.
73, and thanks to the stations I was able to work.
