No multiplier station this time and no balloon supported vertical for 160,
but in despite of noisy low bands and bad propagations we enjoyed the contest
and had lot of fun. Our policy is "Do always the best!", and our main goal
hasn't been great score but rather elmering group of our members who passed
operator's exams few weeks before the contest. YL Anka, S57ONE ran pile-ups
like she has been born with microphone in her hand, while Vili, S56ZTT, Tom,
S57RSV and Robi, S57OWA operated ZRS VHF/UHF contest, held at the same time.
Even experienced operators would envy Vili's long string with QRB 500 - 800km
contacts, and surely all those newbies will at soon become excellent operators.

Field Day is never just operating event but great chance for club members
and guests to gather together, share ideas and experiences, cameradrie, have
great time enjoying chats on ham and non-ham topics over cold beer and
barbecue. This time, along with the contest we celebrated birthday party of
Valter, S51VI, and, together with guests who visited us in the course of
contest - Vlado, S55A, Mario, S56A, Vlado, S57KV with his wife Milena and
S57LO's wife Danijela, S57NKI with son Rok (3 years), enjoyed delicious fish
barbecue and bread, backen right for this event, prepared by Valter's wife
Silva. Anyhow, "facilities" she brought along (electrical grill, owen, etc)
seriously overloaded our small power generator (which already grumbled
feeding HF and VHF stations, three bulbs, two computers and inevitable club's
refrigerator), so often we got comments like "your modulation is overloaded",
"your signal is lousy", "your battery must be on the low side" and so forth...

We are most grateful to Ales, S56LPY who let us operate from his ranch again,
Franko, S57JEL for transportation and other logistical support, and to
everybody who helped us to put up and dismantle antennas, tents and all
another stuff.
