Comments:

This was the contest that I couldn't operate because boyhe afternoons and
evenings until about 0230 I had other things I had to do. I wanted to give my
new antenna a good tryout, so I got on about 0230 on Fri local evening and
started to run and results were so good that I kept going. I went until about
0800 and decided that that had been enough so I went to bed. I woke up at about
1200 so I thought I would try for a few minutes and wound up finishing the band.
I had about 700 qsos. I got on before evening church for about 1/2 hour and
the band sounded good so when I got home from Church I got back on and worked
until about 0830. Usually when I do one of these, I don't sleep, but I am still
recovering from the return trip from K3LR in the CW WW. Got back up at 1230 Z
and finished.. It is really funny that at no time did I really think I was
doing this contest, but I finished with the best I have done in it. The new
antenna seems to work well. It is a 4 square of triple slopers fed at the top
of 4 of my towers at 120 feet. It has a good patternm and hears pretty well. No
radials. Can't put them here. I felt louder than I have felt before and I
think it will be the 160 array for the future here.

73 and thanks for the qsos. Chuck

BTW I had on fellow park on me for an hour endlessy saying that I had clicks but
not willing to identify or run any checks with me. I really hope my clicks were
not as bad as his. I thought maybe he built a click generator to use while
qrming guys like me that he judges have too-hard keying I heard lots of clicks
over the weekend and wondered if mine were average or worse? The rig is a
FT1000MP Mark V Field running qsk with an Alpha 87A.

Will you guys please comment on the clicks. I would appreciate it.

73 again and very Merry Christmas or Holiday of your choice.

Chuck
