Wow - how the sunspots have changed things, eh? I worked almost every
mult that I heard - I just didn't hear many of them...as ID & BC were
the only ones that got away...as I scratched and clawed my way thru
this contest weekend. It was probably for the better, as I had too
many things going on this weekend - so it was in the shack for a few
minutes here and there on both Sat & Sun.
I did work ZS and ZL, but only three countries in Europe, CU, DL and EA
for a total of seven fat contacts. Whoopee! The band was completely
dead here in MD for the last three plus hours of the contest, but I
managed to find a few souls while CQ'ing...including W3PP, who gets a
tip of the hat for delivering the DE mult with just over an hour to go!
The endless CQ'ing and the quick fades made this seem more like a
6 meter contest at times. The band was open on Saturday night all
over the midwest and south from here, but not many folks were on I guess.
Thanks to everyone who dug me out or stopped by to end my CQ'ing boredom.
