Comments:

That was maximum that I could do with 4 over 4 over 4 over 4 and ACOM 2000A. I
went for HP SSB hoping that with this kind of propagation there would not be
many mad guys in EU to do that but then I saw the early posting by OE4A who beat
me with one day of operating;)

Still that was very interesting contest and I learned a lot about 10m as usually
you would never stick around on such a dead band in SOAB operation.

First QSO was with EX2M half an hour before sunrise. His signal was 59+30 in
absolutely empty band. Other guys whom I could hear basically all the time were
5U7JB, DL2ARD and I4UFH. V51/DL5XL was very strong when his was on SSB. EA7AA
had a very bad splatter, looks like he knew this as his was parked low on the
band below 28 400 occuping 15 KHz.

Stongest south American stations were LU1HF, PY2TO, CV5D, CX5BW.

Many nice VK signals and ZL1V. VK2CZ was the biggest and VK1AA/M really big from
mobile setup (nice pics on website!)

No stateside till sunset on Sunday and I was about to close the station after
hearing no sign of life on the band for half an hour. Then an hour after sunset
band suddenly came to life and I S&P-ed 8 LU stations in 10 minutes! Then heard
a weak aurorasignal - N2RM. My first stateside. That was followed by finding
AK2P, 8P9Z (called him for 15 minutes on Saturday in vain), N4OX. And then very
weak W5PR from TX who finally copied me also!

An hour later wanted to pull the plug as things were really dead and then 59
WC4E emerged from nowhere on 391! Amazing band this 10m! N4PN, K4MM, NE4AA, W5UE
followed. And for last - 3 hours after sunset caught MM0MSS coming in from 325
degrees - west coast direction with 100% aurora signal, very nice mult and QSO
to end the game.

No JAs ever heard, called ZF2NT for half an hour with no luck, liked VQ9OG CQ
ending "anyone, anywhere..." - made it easy to identify and save time when
S&P-ing:).
