Comments:
Very slow going this year. I only worked 20 hours and should have worked the
whole contest. I wish I would have stayed up later on Saturday night because
Sunday was basically a bust except for the opening to Europe on 20 early that
morning. I mainly ran a frequency and only did S&P for a few minutes. I need
to do more S&P to pull up my multipliers and work the complete 24 hours. I went
over to 10 meters a couple of times and never heard any signals so I did not
operate there at all. Got my best hour on 80 meters on Saturday night. I did
not do as well as last year but with the solar conditions dwindling I guess that
is what I can expect. I had one hour as low as 26 Q's Sunday afternoon and that
was a mixture of 20 and 15 meters. The best rate I had was on 80 meters the
last 10 minutes of the contest. I guess we can expect a slower contest next
year. It was fun, though and that is what it is all about.
