Comments:
Well after good fortune in the June and September contests this one was really
tough. First the heavy snow seemed to make for really bad condx - though it did
add a few 10 ghz snow scatter qso's. Then Sunday it was really blowing hard and
with the dropping temps (0 Degrees at contest end) the line noise went from
being bad in some directions to being s7 -9 in all directions mid-day Sunday. I
couldn't hear much so if you were calling and I didn't hear you that was why.
The contest actually started out pretty well (surprising given the heavy snow)
but slowed up.

Sunday with:
> 30 QSO's 8 8 4
< 20 QSO's 0 1 5
QSO total was the lowest in a January contest since 1993. A few hardy rovers
actually braved the elements but obviously that was one reason for the drop in
score and QSo total. Tnx to N3IQ, W1AUV, N1QVE, K1DS, N1XKT and K1DY for giving
it a try. Hey, anybody can rove in June.....hi! Tnx for the Q's and see you in
June. 73, Jeff K1TEO
