Did some 20 meter antenna repair last weekend, and so earlier in the week kept
trying to test it out. By the time I would turn on the radio in the evening to
check it out, 20 meters was already dead. Thought to myself, if that happens
during the Sprint that will sure make things tougher. It sure did. Very little
in the way of scatter either.
Tried the 40 meter start and the band was already long with W6's and W7's
comprising half of the first 20 qsos made on 40.
