Station: FT1000MP Mark V - 200W output
Antennas - Force 12 C3-S at 12m, 40m - broken Inverted V at 3m :-)
My first CW contest using my new callsign - 9M2CNC.
As the amplifier is still being repaired this was a 200W not so serious entry.
As it turned out propagation was not that bad with stable conditions all
weekend. 20m opened very well into the UK with some FB signals.
40m was a disaster. After the contest I found out that the 40m Inverted V had
fallen down from the roof mounted pole and was just lying on the flat roof only
3m above the ground. Well done to any stations that heard me on 40m!
Good to work some east coast VEs and VP9/G3PJT both difficult paths from here.
As always it is difficult working the weaker UK stations underneath the stronger
Eastern European stations who don't understand BERU. It was good to work some
new UK stations.
Good activity from 9M this year - 9M2FB (G3TMA), 9M2ZA, 9M2/PA0RRS and 9M6BG all
taking part.
