Wow, what a blast. I had the opportunity to join a multi-op at Duane's QTH.
First one I've ever been involved in, other than Field Day. Instead of my old
TH3 tri-bander at 45 ft or so, a couple of dipoles and a 160 inverted L that
doesn't work, I had access to a stack of 3 TH7's plus a 40m beam on a 150 ft
rotating tower along with a couple of tribanders and another 40m beam on a
couple of 80 ft towers. Then there's the 4 square on 80. Amps were a Henry and
a Bandit. Logging by CT.

I don't remember a lot of details but it sure was fun. Pileups were sure easier
to break than from my QTH.

The biggest thrill was running Eu on 40 long path. At home, if I can get most
of the available Eu mults plus work a smattering of DLs and others on 20, I'm
pretty happy. I do hear the odd Eu on 40 but they rarely hear me. I was just
blown away by this experience. While I'm doing this, Duane, VE7UF, is sitting
at the other position quietly working Eu on 80.

Many thanks to Duane and Peggy for their hospitality.

Jim Smith
