Saturday was great fun! If you worked me on 20M before 2300Z Sat, it was all LP
from here. Between 2300-0000Z, it could have been either LP or SP. After
0000Z, it was all SP. Surprised to be able to work W1 on 40M- the first 40M QSO
was made at 3:51PM NZ time! Condx were bad, bad, bad on Monday (for me)- I got
up at 1AM NZ time to work the end of the 20M opening, then when I got back on at
1900Z for the 20M LP there was nothing- nada- zilch- coming through. The only 2
stations that I worked the rest of the day were WC1M and K1EA, who both answered
my CQs on 15M. I CQ'ed on 15M almost constantly between 2100 and 2230, but only
worked 2 stations. I finally gave up when I started getting 449 reports from
several W6s.
All in all, a good contest. I quit at 2300Z when I realized that I had no shot
at the 100 QSOs. 20M LP was still all but nonexistent- I had already worked the
K1TTTs, W1NGs, AK1Ws, etc. on that band.
Cheers!
Dennis ZL/NB1B
