Comments:
Thanks to Jim, W6YI for letting me use his great station once again. There just
arent any other big stations down here in so. cal anymore, so im grateful that
he lets me operate from there. Once he puts up the rest of the antennas this
summer, he will be tough to beat. Also thanks to KL9A for the use of the club
call.
Fantastic condx friday night. 15m was open to EU and JA all night long, as well
as 20m. Not exactly what I was expecting at this point in the cycle, but it was
certainly welcome. The 2nd half of the contest was more what I was expecting.
Low rates, no EU etc. I only worked about 30 Euro's combined after 00z
saturday. The bands were just dreadful. I was stuck trying to run US at 30 an
hour, which doesnt help the score much :) It was still alot of fun, and WPX CW
is slowly becoming one of my favorite contests of the year.
Congrats to K5ZD, and to KL9A for a huge west coast score. I will be back for
more next year.
